It was one month ago today that we gathered at Southridge, wrote the names of our friends and loved ones on sticky notes and prayed for them. Later that evening, at Spotlight, many of you came forward to claim these sticky notes and commit to praying for the names written on them for thirty days.
Thirty days later, that journey has officially come to an end. The question is, how has this experience been for you?
If you wrote a name on a sticky note, have you had any opportunities to connect with that person in the last 30 days? Have you sensed that someone was praying for you or for them? Has God given you any insight into where they are in their spiritual journey or how you might encourage them to explore a relationship with Jesus? Have you been praying for them yourself?
If you took a sticky note, have you been faithful to pray for that person? Have you prayed for their relationship with the person who wrote their name down? Have you sensed God using your prayers, or sensed him leading you to pray for specific issues or situations in their life that you had no way of knowing about? Did you find the 30-Day Prayer Guide helpful? Has this experience helped shape your attitude toward prayer?
If you've had a significant experience or profound learning throughout this 30-day journey, we'd love to hear about it. Post your comments here, or email me at tloewen@southridge.cc
Let's see if we can encourage each other in our journey of learning how pray and how to share the love and message of Jesus with our friends.
